What is commonly known as intermittent claudication is actually a very serious and painful condition. The term "intermittent claudication" was coined due to the behaviour of those affected, which is reminiscent of a shopping spree; the sufferer feels a sharp pain in their legs when walking and intuitively stops. They wait until the pain has passed and continue walking until the next attack.
In medical terms, this disease is called peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAD).

Some people's lungs and bronchial tubes are hypersensitive and react extremely to environmental influences.
The body reacts to harmless stimuli with strong defences, which can even be life-threatening. Bronchi and alveoli become inflamed and constricted, leading to acute respiratory distress.

Pneumonia is not to be trifled with. Anyone who catches a cold and suffers from a runny nose, hoarseness and a sore throat usually has bronchitis and is therefore at risk of developing pneumonia.
If pneumonia is carried over, the lungs are permanently damaged.
The most important thing with pneumonia is therefore a timely diagnosis.

The term moxibustion comes from the science of acupuncture. The word "moxa" comes from the Japanese and is translated as "burning". The Chinese equivalent is "Jiu".

Treatment with so-called moxa beads is also intended to stimulate the flow of energy during acupuncture.
