Horses What to do about Chronic Cough

Chronic coughing in horses is unfortunately very common in stalls. The reason is usually the so-called "mattress bedding", i.e. the new bedding is poured on top of the used bedding for two or three weeks without cleaning the box first. The ammonia gases breeding underneath become more intense day by day and not only result in hoof rot, but also damage the horse's respiratory tract.
The usual treatment usually consists of switching from straw to shavings, wetting the forage hay, and medicinal relief.
This does not cure the chronic cough at all. However, there is a way to cure the cough completely.
