Blood pressure monitor
The opposite of high is low, the opposite of high blood pressure is low blood pressure, but the reversal of a dangerous condition such as hypertension (high blood pressure) unfortunately does not automatically mean that hypotension (low blood pressure) is a positive phenomenon.

Child learns to handle a dog
Sometimes it is important to know what your child has already learnt so that you can let them go a step further with confidence and allow them a little more independence. This is possible even if you still have certain fears that make you doubt your offspring's abilities. The key here is to find ways of overcoming your own fears.

What helps children in their development is the trust that parents can place in their abilities, so they must learn to let go when the time comes.

Swaddling babies properly

Baby wrapped in pucksack
Swaddling is a tried and tested way of giving babies back some of the cosiness and warmth they miss from their mother's womb. Swaddling is particularly useful for soothing cry babies, but it is also suitable for all other babies.

The advantages of the puck are that the baby is given space but does not feel lost, as it also feels a sense of limitation, just like in the womb.

Man measures blood pressure of elderly woman
As adults get older, the risk that their health is no longer what it used to be increases. From the age of around 35, the sins committed against the body begin to make themselves felt, usually in the form of obesity and increasingly often through high blood pressure.

Men are particularly likely to put off a visit to the doctor, as they are often diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Snowman Figure from Salt Dough
Salt dough is a good alternative to store-bought craft and modelling materials, as you usually have the ingredients in the house and they are not expensive. All you need is 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt and a little water.
Mix the flour and salt in a bowl with lukewarm water and knead together. This is best done with your hands, as the dough quickly becomes very thick. You must not add too much water, otherwise the kneaded figures will not hold together and will have to dry for too long, or will form cracks as they dry.

Mother talks to child, learning to speak
When your baby starts to talk, this is one of the most exciting new things you will experience. You eagerly await the first recognisable words, such as "mummy" and "daddy", which do not always immediately identify the person, but nevertheless make parents proud.

Your child's language development will continue to progress steadily from now on and you can do a lot to stimulate it yourself.

Baby nappy, man diapering baby
There is no doubt that things were more cruel in earlier times than they are today. But we seldom ask ourselves what this meant for everyday things and how they were handled.

An example of this is nappies, which all mothers today use in some form or fashion as a matter of course, because they are taken for granted.

homemade pizza
Pizza, the universally popular Italian dish, still tastes best at the Italian restaurant. The American version has also found its fans and the spread of several well-known pizza chains from the USA has been unstoppable in Germany since the 1980s.

Nevertheless, it is a dish that you can prepare wonderfully at home and that should put most frozen products in the shade, because it has the advantage that you can also put together the topping exactly to your own taste.

Garlic bulb and garlic clove
Garlic, although notorious for its intense aroma, especially after eating, is a favourite with many people and some dishes would be unthinkable without it.

Nutritionists keep telling us that it is also healthy, as it helps to optimise the cardiovascular system by stimulating the production of hydrogen sulphide in the blood. It can help to lower high blood pressure and even prevents some types of cancer, such as stomach and bowel cancer and colds.
