If a friend is drinking too much at a party and is well on the way to getting drunk, you should start counteracting the effects of being drunk. Long before hangover symptoms like nausea and headaches occur, there are things you can do to alleviate the discomfort.
Alcohol takes about an hour to pass through the body, and in that one hour there are a few strategies if you don't want to get too drunk or wake up hungover the next day. This way you can make sure that your friend or you enjoy the party.

There are times in life when everything feels dull and pointless. Every day is the same as the last and there is no prospect of improvement. You can revitalise your spirits by learning to appreciate the little things in life. Experience every moment as if it were the first time.

Most of our behaviour and our actions and tendencies, both good and bad, are the result of long-standing habits. We have done certain things so often over the years that we do them automatically and unconsciously because we have become "accustomed" to acting and thinking this way.

Often in life, we simply procrastinate too long or think too much about everything. This ultimately prevents us from realising our wishes and dreams. If you know what you want, put it into practice and don't make excuses!

Humans are sociable creatures by nature and are always looking to socialise with other people. From time to time, however, it is good for everyone to take a little time just for themselves in order to grow inwardly, relax and find themselves.

Knowledge is power, they say, and in general it's true. If you have a lot of knowledge, you have more opportunities in life. That's why you should never stop learning new things and taking an interest in new things. However, your knowledge is only useful to you if you apply it in everyday life.

No one criticises you and your deeds more than your inner voice. It never tires of pointing out what you have done wrong or what you cannot do. Learn to control your inner voice and not let it influence you.

All people are equal, everyone has limitless potential. People often get stuck in a negative cul-de-sac because they think they are worth less than others. We all have our qualities. There are things that one person is particularly good at, but is not good at in other areas.
