Stress

Most people suffer from stress and are victims of a stressful everyday life; some are better able to cope with it than others. Although we cannot always avoid stressful situations, we can learn to make them less stressful for us and easier to cope with. Situations are usually stressful because there seems to be no solution to the problem. In reality, however, it is we ourselves who block the flow of our thoughts and prevent us from finding the solution.

Although stress in itself is not a disease, stressful situations can trigger illnesses over time. It is therefore not only more pleasant but also healthier to organise your life as stress-free as possible.

Follow a few simple rules and you will learn to rise above things and not expose your body and mind to unnecessary stress. You will realise that with a cool head, the solutions to the problem will come all by themselves.

An envious man
What can I do against envy?

Yellow with envy, what can I do about it?

An envious man

Envy is one of theIt is one of the most unhealthy feelings because if it gets out of control, it inevitably leads to depression, hatred, anger and imbalance. It is one of the most unhealthy feelings, because if envy gets out of control, it inevitably leads to depression, hatred, anger and imbalance - in short, it makes our lives unbearable.

How is it that we become envious of other people or their possessions? Only because we focus on the wrong things in life.

We concentrate too much on 1. our own failure and 2. the success of others.

How can we direct our focus in the right direction and learn to be happy with ourselves?

What to do about fear of flying

Aircraft wing, view over Australian East Coast

For most people, flying is not as much a part of everyday life as driving a car. Because it is relatively rare for them to have to get on an aeroplane, they are often afraid of it or at least very nervous. Fear of flying is an irrational form of fear and therefore cannot be dispelled with rational arguments. Although it is nice to know that statistically fewer people die in plane crashes than in car accidents, this information does little to dispel the fear. The fear lies deeper and is a little different for everyone. I don't know an infallible recipe that will take away the fear of flying one hundred per cent for everyone, but I can show you how I overcame my fear of flying.

Dare - learning self-confidence

As intelligent beings, we have the ability to think, to create, to ponder. We do not simply function automatically.

But unfortunately, that's exactly the problem for many people. There are people who make complete fools of themselves and don't even realise it because they are among the less well-off among us. The smarter we are, the more we think too carefully about our actions and how we are seen by other people.

Some people have brilliant ideas and big plans, but their thinking gets in the way of them realising their plans. They are afraid of failing, they don't trust their own decisions, they don't have enough self-confidence.

It is important that these people learn how to trust themselves. This article is about strengthening this self-confidence and showing them a way to use their thinking for themselves and not against them.

Expectation anxiety - The fear of the unknown

Fear of the new and unknown is probably the most common type of fear. There is simply too much unknown out there. It spreads around us like a thick fog. What we can't see in the fog scares us. It is an understandable but not necessarily helpful kind of fear. On the contrary, it usually hinders us and restricts us. It prevents us from doing what we want to do, from living the life we want to live.

But you can do something about this fear. The first step has already been taken: you are dealing with your fear.

As a second step, you should try to understand them a little better.

Is being shy wrong? The truth about introverts

Being shy is not a character flaw, it is part of the personality. There are two types of people: extroverts and introverts. While extroverts are outgoing and like to be the centre of attention, introverts are more introverted and love being alone.

They are two different types of characteristics, both of which have their raison d'être. Neither is better or worse than the other. Nevertheless, the qualities and characteristics of introverts are often seen in a negative light in our society, so most people think being an introvert is 'wrong'.

In reality, however, they are simply misunderstandings. The two species are about as different as dogs and cats. Both have their own language, but they cannot communicate with each other or misinterpret each other's language.

Here are five points to help understanding between extroverts and introverts.

Stop comparing yourself with others

Stop comparing yourself with others

Stop comparing yourself with others

Comparing ourselves with other fellow human beings is one of our easiest exercises. We simply can't help it. You need this comparison to find your place in the 'hierarchy' of society.

Mostly it's about money, according to the motto: you are what you have. Most people want to be at the highest possible level, or at least want others to think they are.

So the question remains: How can one stop comparing oneself with others, when we live in this hierarchical society and the majority lives according to these rules?
