Don't put it off until tomorrow: avoid procrastination

To-Do List, Calendar

There is always a lot to do, always tasks to complete. Pleasant tasks almost take care of themselves, because there is no lack of motivation. However, when it comes to things that have to be done but are no fun or even unpleasant, one tends to find excuses to put off these tasks for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, postponing important tasks usually leads to even more tasks piling up at a later date. Suddenly everything has become urgent and needs to be done immediately. This naturally creates stress again and problems arise when you simply don't have time for the rest. Stress, in turn, brings with it negative thoughts and robs you of any motivation to even get started on your chores. Before you know it, you have become entangled in a web that is difficult to get out of, as there are new things to do every day.

Therefore, avoid putting off unpleasant tasks that absolutely have to be done. Make a list in your head of all the things you have to do every day, a to-do list, and arrange them in order of priority, not in order of preference. Feel free to write the list down if you have the feeling that you might forget something.

Pleasant or unpleasant, complete the tasks with the highest urgency first and gradually work your way to the less urgent cases. You will see that you are steadily working your way through your list and your thoughts will become freer because you are no longer worrying about the unfinished tasks.

The motivation usually comes naturally once you have overcome yourself to get started. Not forgetting the great feeling of success when you've actually managed to do the things you didn't want to put off!

Once you have started, complete the task. Don't let your inner voice take away your motivation.
