Can PET bottles be used more than once?

After a study by students at a university in Idaho, a warning was issued against using mineral water bottles or other plastic bottles more than once. The study stated that the bottles are intended for single use only and that after multiple uses they begin to decompose, releasing carcinogenic substances (diethylhydroxylamine or DEHA for short) from the plastic into the water.

How often waste paper can be recycled

Paper consists of natural fibres, which are a valuable raw material. Household paper, cardboard, packaging material and other paper waste can be turned into waste paper through the recycling process. This prevents a useful raw material from ending up in landfill. Thousands of tonnes of paper are recycled every year and waste is reduced.
