
Tofu is very healthy, but tastes rather neutral and therefore puts off many people as an alternative to meat.
Prepared in the right way, you can make tofu crispy and flavourful.
Cut the tofu into cubes and soak in soy sauce overnight so that the tofu absorbs the flavour and seasoning of the sauce.
Then remove the tofu cubes from the sauce and dust with flour.
Fry the dusted cubes in sesame or olive oil until golden brown.
While the tofu cubes are crisping in the pan, season with oregano or herbes de Provence.
As a variation, you can roll the tofu cubes in raw scrambled egg after dusting them with flour and then fry them.
