There's a big difference between having a crush and really being in love, but unfortunately it's not always easy to realise your feelings at the beginning. Do you really love him or do you just think he's "cute"?
Firstly, find out for yourself what you understand by love. Write down your thoughts, feelings and expectations when it comes to love and partnership. What should a loving relationship look like for you?
Distinguish between just having a crush and love. If you just have a crush, the feeling will fade over time, despite the intense feelings at the beginning.
Ask your friends how they recognise that they love someone.
Write down your feelings for him. For example, write down things like: You like being in his company, you have common interests, you trust him, you find him attractive, he makes you laugh, etc.
Think carefully about how well you fit together. How well can you talk to each other? How does a disagreement between you go? Does he bring out your good points and vice versa? What do you think about his faults? Are you different when you're with him?
Try to answer your questions honestly and interpret the answers for yourself. Only you can decide whether you love him or not.
Ask yourself whether you accept the person as they are. Love is not about liking certain character traits, but the whole person with their faults.
