A very simple but extremely effective method of washing machine, gearbox or other oil off your hands is with simple coffee grounds.

 

Wet your hands and rub the coffee grounds thoroughly onto the oil stains. Then rinse thoroughly with hot water. The oil comes off the skin easily and nourishes the hands at the same time.
