There are countless things to repair and improve in a house or flat. That's why hardly any equipment is as useful as a well-stocked toolbox. Here are the most important tools that a DIY enthusiast should not be without.

 Claw hammer

Hammer, crowbar and tapping block or rubber mallet. Hammer and crowbar are the basic items for taking apart and knocking together. It is best to use a good claw hammer, which is also suitable for pulling out nails. The mallet or rubber mallet is useful wherever you want to hammer without damaging the surface, for example when fitting tiles.

 Pipe wrench

Pliers. Combination pliers provide grip when gripping tightly fitting objects and are also suitable for snipping wire or cables. Pipe wrenches are also very important for gripping water pipes or screw nuts. You often need both pliers together, one holds a part tightly, the other unscrews the tight-fitting counterpart.

 Spanner

Spanners and socket spanners. Many things are held together by hexagonal nuts and bolts. A set of spanners is therefore always and everywhere useful.

 Allen key set

Screwdriver and Allen key. To cover most possibilities, you should have different sizes of slotted and Phillips screwdrivers as well as a set of Allen keys.

 Cordless screwdriver

Drill and cordless screwdriver. The cordless screwdriver is a good helper when turning lots of screws, as it saves an incredible amount of work. Unfortunately, you have to charge the battery in good time if you don't use it every day. A cordless screwdriver can also drill, but the capacity and durability of a corded drill is often higher.

 Drilling inserts

Drill bits. The hammer drill naturally also includes a selection of drill bits for steel, wood and stone.

 Spirit level

Measuring tape, angle iron and spirit level. These three tools are there to measure distances, sizes, flatness and angles, because the quality of a DIY job is characterised by good and careful measuring. For the occasional DIYer, a measuring tape of 3 to 5 metres is sufficient. The spirit level should have three different angle options and be at least 80cm long.

 Hacksaw

Saw and knife. Last but not least, cutting tools are a must. A carpet knife, a simple wood saw and a hacksaw are sufficient as basic equipment.

The list of useful tools is endless, but here we only want to show you the basic equipment that you need every now and then in everyday life.
