There are so many mattresses on offer that it is difficult to find the right mattress to get a good and restful night's sleep without spending a fortune.
Beware of the right to return mattresses. A mattress manufacturer will most likely not take back a mattress just because it didn't feel right. In other words, the mattress retailer will put a returned mattress back on sale and sell it as new. And who wants to buy a mattress that a stranger has already used for weeks? A retailer who does not promise a right of return is therefore guaranteed to sell new mattresses.
A hard mattress is not necessarily the best. Ideally, the spine should have the same shape when standing and lying down. A mattress that is too hard does not allow the shoulders and pelvis to sink in when lying on the side, which changes the shape of the spine. The body is compressed unnaturally. The right mattress should support the natural shape of the spine and mould to it when lying down. The mattress should distribute the pressure of the body weight evenly to ensure good circulation. Body movement should be absorbed as much as possible so that your partner is not also shaken when tossing and turning.
There are four basic types of coils that are used in mattresses. Basically, the more coils used, the more stable the mattress. An average mattress has 300 to 500 springs, 500 to 800 indicates a firm mattress. Mattresses with a lower number of springs can sometimes feel firmer because thicker spring wire has been used. Despite their apparent firmness, these mattresses can become uneven more quickly.
