Fill a simple spray bottle with water and add 10 drops of essential oils, rosemary, eucalyptus, lavender or citrus are best. Shake the bottle thoroughly before each spray so that the water and oil mix well. Just a few spritzes will make the room smell fresh and pleasant.

You can neutralise bad and musty smells in the microwave by heating a slice of lemon in a bowl of water in the microwave.
