For silk garments, the manufacturer often recommends hand washing or professional cleaning on the label. How to wash silk?
Fill the washing container with water. Use warm water for white silk and cold water for coloured silk. Add one tablespoon of conditioner to the wash water and mix.
Put the garment in the water and let it soak for a few minutes.
After soaking, remove, fill the container with fresh water and gently wash the conditioner out of the fabric.
Place the garment on a towel and cover with another towel. Press out the wetness and hang the garment on a hanger to dry.
The same properties in the conditioner that make your hair soft and smooth also nourish the silk fabric.
