Alcohol against nail fungus

Discoloured and painful fingernails or toenails are often a sign of a fungal infection (onychomicosis). The nails thicken, smell bad, become scaly and cause discomfort. Nail fungus is caused by bacteria in the nail bed that enter the nail through cracks in the skin. Moisture accelerates the growth of the bacteria and allows the nail fungus to spread quickly.
