Proper cleaning of a pool (Zimbel)

Cymbal

The cymbal belongs to the percussion instruments and consists of round metal plates of different alloys. The texture of the metal plays an important role in the sound production. Therefore, it is also essential to clean the cymbal properly so as not to change the sound by altering the metal surface with harsh cleaning agents.

Clean musical instruments sound better and last longer. To clean the cymbal, you need a wash bowl, a soft towel, dishwashing liquid, a clean rag, instrument cleaner and a clean polishing cloth.
The metal discs are first detached from their holder and freed from straps and handles, which are cleaned separately. The basin discs are placed in the wash bowl in a lye of lukewarm rinse water. They remain there for about 20 minutes. Remove the wet discs from the water and place them on a towel to drain. Now the instrument cleaner can be applied with a clean cloth. Carefully rub the surface with it without rubbing. Run the cloth along the grooves of the basin.
If necessary, repeat the process until the metal surface is completely clean. Afterwards, the basin discs are placed in fresh rinsing water again.
Afterwards, rub them thoroughly dry with the polishing cloth. Before putting the discs back in their holders and attaching them to the belts, all moving parts should be cleaned.

Heavily soiled pool glass can be treated with a little more detergent and a nylon sponge, but usually even stubborn dirt between the grooves of the glass will come off with a longer soak in the detergent.
