Despite regular and thorough cleaning, plastic baby bottles can take on the odour of sour milk after a while. This does not mean that the bottle is unhygienic or dirty, but simply that the plastic absorbs odours and flavours over time that cannot be washed off with water.

 

To neutralise the smell in the baby bottle, take a bottle brush and apply a little toothpaste to it. Spread the toothpaste thoroughly in the bottle with the brush. Then thoroughly remove all toothpaste residue with warm water. The unpleasant odour in the bottle should now have disappeared.
