Espresso and coffee beans

Nothing tastes quite like a perfect espresso coffee. Finely ground, dark-roasted coffee, compactly pressed and filtered into the famous strong coffee drink that revitalises the spirits and delights the senses.

If you order a coffee in Italy, you automatically get an espresso. An Italian goes to his favourite café two or three times a day to drink a perfect cup of espresso.

Espresso was invented by Luigi Bezzera, the owner of a factory. At the turn of the 20th century, Bezzera was looking for a way to brew coffee more quickly. So he invented the "fast coffee machine". But he discovered that his fast brewing method produced a fuller, stronger and better-tasting coffee. The efficient and time-saving brewing process allowed the quality of the coffee beans to be extracted precisely.

However, the espresso only became famous later thanks to Desidero Pavoni, who successfully marketed the coffee.
