How to conceal a beard shadow

Beard shadow

Beard shadow is a daily problem for many men. Even after shaving, you can sometimes recognise the dark shadow of the stubble, which gives the entire face an unshaven appearance.

If you don't like the beard shadow look, you can try to conceal the stubble with make-up to achieve a clean-shaven face. Beard shadow cannot be hidden without cosmetics. However, with the right application of cosmetics, beard shadow can remain hidden throughout the day.

Shave the face as thoroughly as possible and use a gentle shaving gel. Hot water can often be used to cut the stubble even deeper, as the pores of the skin open up.
After shaving, rinse the facial skin with cold water to close the pores. Then apply a moisturising cream, which should be left on for about 5 minutes.

Now apply a thin layer of skin primer. It goes without saying that the foundation cream should match your own skin colour. If in doubt, use a shade lighter, but not darker, because then it will look artificial. The skin primer creates a smooth and supple base. The foundation cream should be left on for two minutes.

Apply the camouflage powder with a make-up brush. This gives the face and neck a natural tone while concealing imperfections and colour differences.

Run your fingers lightly over the skin to spread the make-up evenly. Then leave the face to dry for about 5 minutes.

The face and neckline should appear smooth for the next 8 hours. The durability of the make-up depends on perspiration and the humidity of the environment.
