Cellulite is a collection of dimples in the skin whose structure lacks the softness and firmness of the other fat cells. Cellulite (also called cellulite or orange peel skin) occurs mainly in the thighs, hips or buttocks and looks unsightly.
How to get rid of cellulite?
Cellulite is most common in women, often after pregnancy or when they are overweight. There are three levels of cellulite: at level 1, you see the dimples when you pinch the skin; at level 2, you only see them when you stand, but not when you lie down; at level 3, you see the dimples even when you lie down.
Cellulite is caused by the hardening and alteration of fat cells due to excess fat, toxins or water in the body which have not been eliminated by the body. It is not a disease, but merely an unaesthetic change in the connective tissue.
There are numerous products that are supposed to treat cellulite. In fact, they also temporarily "swell" the skin so that the cellulite is no longer visible. After stopping the treatment, however, it immediately becomes visible again. Unfortunately, there is only one really effective method against cellulite, namely a good diet combined with regular exercise, unless you have it surgically removed.
If you don't want to go under the knife, you need to consider the following points in your diet:
- Drink two litres of water daily
- No fried food like French fries
- Little butter
- Lots of vitamin C
- Avoid sodium, such as smoked, heavily salted or preserved foods.
- As natural food as possible with few additives and without flavouring E621
In addition to the right diet, you should regularly do sports or gymnastics. All types of sports or exercises that target the affected areas of the body, such as the thighs or hips, are good against cellulite.
General fat burning through, for example, yoga or weight lifting to define the body is useful in any case.
