Stretch marks are stretch marks that can occur during pregnancy when the elastic tissue is damaged. These stretch marks are normal, but can be prevented or reduced naturally.
To prevent unsightly stripes, a pregnant woman should pay particular attention to the following things:
1. frequently apply moisturising cream to the skin on the stomach and thighs, using plant-based creams if possible. The skin around the stomach and hips suffers particularly from stretching due to the growing pregnancy and increasing weight.
2 During pregnancy you should gain between 9 and 13kg in weight. The more weight you gain, the greater the risk of stretch marks forming. Of course, a pregnant woman should not starve or fast; if she gains weight too quickly, she should switch to a balanced wholefood diet and avoid calorie bombs.
3. nutritional deficiencies can promote the formation of stretch marks. Pay attention to skin vitamins in your diet. Carrots, nuts, berries, eggs, fish and milk are good.
4. drink plenty of fluids. Dehydration can favour stretch marks.
5. a skin oil with vitamin E makes the skin supple. Massage the oil into your stomach and thighs at least once a day.
6. relax frequently. Stress increases the risk of stretch marks. Put your feet up from time to time and listen to relaxing music or take a bath.
7. do not make the water too hot when bathing. Lukewarm water opens the pores and does not dry out the skin too much. Add an oil to the bath water. Apply cream to the skin after bathing.
8 The skin regenerates at night. A pregnant woman should make sure she gets enough sleep, not only at night but also during the day for half an hour in between.
