Why is boxing not good for children and young people?

Boxing gives all active supporters the opportunity to burn off excess energy and supports the development of self-discipline and self-confidence. Statistically speaking, the risk of injury in boxing is lower than in other contact sports such as football or ice hockey. Nevertheless, many experts advise against starting boxing at a young age. The main difference to other contact sports is that boxing teaches, encourages and rewards punches to the head and upper body.
