There are abbreviations on the disabled person's pass that indicate the type of disability.

What do these abbreviations mean?

 

G - significantly disabled

aG - exceptionally disabled

Gl - deaf

H - helpless, the person concerned needs help with e.g. personal hygiene and nutrition

Bl - blind, vision below 2 %

RF - Exemption from the licence fee possible

B - One accompanying person can travel free of charge on public transport

VB - entitled to benefits as a war invalid

EB - severely disabled as a result of National Socialist persecution

1st class - use of 1st class permitted with 2nd class ticket
