From a "degree of disability" (GdB) of 50, you are entitled to a severely disabled person's pass. This card makes everyday life easier for people with disabilities.

There are abbreviations on the disabled person's pass that indicate the type of disability.

What do these abbreviations mean?

 

G - significantly disabled

aG - exceptionally disabled

Gl - deaf

H - helpless, the person concerned needs help with e.g. personal hygiene and nutrition

Bl - blind, vision below 2 %

RF - Exemption from the licence fee possible

B - One accompanying person can travel free of charge on public transport

VB - entitled to benefits as a war invalid

EB - severely disabled as a result of National Socialist persecution

1st class - use of 1st class permitted with 2nd class ticket
