How often do we plan to do something and then end up not doing it? There is usually no shortage of excuses when it comes to avoiding unwanted tasks, but the regret is guaranteed to come later. Finding motivation can take a lot of strength and effort, but it's worth it. Here's how you can motivate yourself.
The motivation to complete unpleasant tasks can only come from yourself. The same applies to a lack of motivation. Typical reasons for lack of motivation are low self-confidence that you can do the task, not knowing what you want and focussing on the wrong things and wandering aimlessly through life. These are the points that need to be corrected in order for you to find motivation.
A lack of self-confidence destroys all motivation. The lack usually arises from focussing on what you don't have or can't do instead of putting everything you have and can do in the foreground. If you focus on the negative, failure is inevitable and the successes go by the wayside. To motivate yourself, you must always think about what you can do and pat yourself on the back for your successes. Failure is only a minor mishap that can be improved on the next attempt. What you didn't achieve shows you where you have gaps that you can fill; take a failure as an opportunity to learn and improve.
Concentrate on what you want to achieve and don't be afraid on the way there. Fear hinders and robs you of any motivation. If you lack motivation, don't focus on your fears. Use your fears only as a stimulus; think about what you are afraid of and find a way to resolve the fear.
Drifting around without direction cannot motivate great deeds. Everyone needs a goal in life that they can strive for. Those who live for the day have no goals and dreams to fulfil and therefore no motivation. Without a goal and direction, it is of course easy to postpone unpleasant things.
Don't forget that you have the power to motivate yourself. Motivation does not come by itself.
