Homemade mashed potatoes

homemade mashed potatoes
Mashed potato is a simple dish, but it takes a little finesse to turn it into a gourmet meal. Mashed potato should be neither too solid nor too runny and needs just the right amount of spices.
Good mashed potatoes start with choosing the right potatoes. Different types of potatoes have different starch and water content, which affects the consistency. For optimal mashed potatoes, choose a potato variety that is both floury and juicy.
