• A restaurant like the ones in the films also offers a nice ambience. Choose a particularly nice and high-quality restaurant where there is also some privacy.

• Wherever the proposal is to take place, champagne and flowers are a must.

• Buy an engagement ring in good time. If you're not sure about the size, borrow one of her rings to buy.

• If your partner says 'yes', pass the message on to friends and family.

• Be prepared for your bride to start wedding plans immediately, she doesn't want to be engaged for years without the actual wedding in sight. This is also proof to her that you are serious.
