You don't need harsh chemicals to get rusty knife blades clean again. In fact, there is a very simple method to make a rusty knife rust-free again:

 

To do this, simply plunge the rusty blade deep into a fresh onion several times. The onion juice cleans the knife a little more with each stab until the rust has completely disappeared.
