Cleaning the microwave oven does not have to be time-consuming. Clean your microwave every now and then with this quick and effective method, so the microwave oven always stays hygienic and clean.

• Briefly wipe the inside of the microwave with a damp sponge to remove loose food residues.

• Fill a bowl half full with water and place in the microwave.

• Turn on the microwave for 3 minutes and heat the water.

• Then microwave the bowl for about 5 minutes to steam out.

• Remove the bowl and wipe the inside again with a damp cloth. The steam has loosened stubborn food residues and they can now be easily removed.

• Wash the microwave plate with hot water and washing-up liquid.

• Wipe the microwave plate and the inside of the microwave oven dry with a lint-free cloth or kitchen paper.

• Now just wipe the outside of the microwave oven and you're done!
