Vermin in the house is not only disgusting, but also unhygienic. Vermin transmit diseases or sting.

Catching bugs is a challenge for many. Some insects are so small that you don't see them, while others you would rather not see at all.

Often the insects are just too fast and crawl away before you can get rid of them.

Here are six ways to get rid of bugs in the home.

The most obvious method is to catch the insects one by one with a plastic cup, putting the cup over the sitting insect and inserting a piece of thin cardboard between the cup and the surface. With a clear cup, you can track the position of the insect so that it cannot easily escape. This method works well with larger and slower insects such as spiders, wasps, bees, etc, if there are only a few of them in the house.

Flytraps and similar adhesive traps (pheromone traps) for crawling insects may look unsightly, but they are quite effective against swarms of insects, food moths and maggots. It is best to distribute the traps in several places in the house. If you have pets or small children, make sure that they do not have access to the traps.

Vermin such as mosquitoes are not attracted by adhesive traps. However, one can additionally attach visual attractants or heat-emitting attractants around the flytrap. Many flying insects react to yellow or red colours, neon colours and ultraviolet rays.
An insect hoover or table hoover is good for catching smaller insects without getting your hand too close to the vermin. However, the dust bag should be changed quickly so that the vermin do not breed in the bag or even escape.

Some insects multiply faster than you can catch them. In this case, you can put out baits sprinkled with insecticide, which they will then carry to their nests. Please do not spray insecticide indiscriminately around the house, as it is not poisonous to humans but not exactly beneficial to health.

If the insect plague cannot be controlled, call an exterminator. Before the pests get out of hand and become a hygiene problem, it is better to seek professional help. If you don't know exactly which insect it is, you can also capture a specimen and show it to the exterminator for identification.

Cockroaches

Removing cockroaches is not everyone's cup of tea. Just don't trample them with your shoes, as they still leave eggs on your shoes even after they die, which you then drag everywhere.
The rule here is: catch it and throw it out, as far away as possible.
