Textiles and upholstery can absorb odours in the long term. These odours can be removed or neutralised with textile fresheners. With just a few ingredients, you can make your own fabric freshener very cheaply.

 

Ingredients for one spray bottle of fabric freshener

40ml fabric softener of your choice
2 tablespoons baking soda

Mix the two ingredients in the bottle and fill up to the rim of the spray bottle with hot water. Shake well before use.

The homemade textile freshener removes all kinds of bad odours, including those from pets, from upholstered furniture and other textiles that cannot be washed in the washing machine.
