There are many small things you can do at home to save water and protect the environment.
Repair leaks: A dripping tap or leaks in the sink waste water unnecessarily. Repair or replace the faulty tap, shower head or sink. This will drastically reduce your water consumption and save you money on your water bill in the long run.
Renew taps: Old toilet flushing systems or shower inserts use more water than necessary today. Update all toilets and showers in your home and use low water consumption fittings.
Reduce water consumption: You can save many litres of water by making small changes to your daily habits. These include: Turning off taps while washing hands or brushing teeth, always running the washing machine and dishwasher at full load, washing dirty dishes and vegetables in the full sink rather than under running water.
Keep plants that need little water: Watering the garden uses a lot of water. You can reduce your overall water consumption by keeping plants that use very little water.
