Add a good amount of hair conditioner to the wash water. However, the hair conditioner must contain lanolin, as the lanolin gives the car a freshly waxed coat that repels rain.

Snow or rain together with dust or sprayed-on dirt smear the windscreen. Pour some cola over the windscreen, the cola will eat the film off the window. To protect the paint underneath the windscreen, place a towel over it. Don't forget to rinse the windscreen well so that it doesn't become sticky.
You can add one cup of cheap vodka and half a teaspoon of washing-up liquid per litre of water to the washer fluid tank and mix well. This cleans the windscreen and protects against light frost.
You can keep a container of wet wipes in the car as a quick windscreen cleaner for when you're on the road in case the cleaning fluid runs out unexpectedly. A sanitary towel is also good for polishing a dirty windscreen (unused, of course!). Rub the windscreen well with the sanitary towel and make it shine.

You can polish the headlights and indicators with window cleaner.

You can mix a good car cleaner from 4 litres of warm water, a quarter cup of baking soda and a quarter cup of washing-up liquid. Stir or shake the solution thoroughly and wipe the car with a sponge as usual.

Tip: Do not wash the car directly in the summer sun or when the bonnet is still hot from driving, as this can leave streaks on the paintwork. Always rub the car dry with a soft towel or leather cloth after washing to avoid streaks.
