Unstable weather, frequent changes from rain, storms and fog to sunshine mean that many people suffer from weather sensitivity. The symptoms range from headaches, tiredness and circulatory problems to severe joint pain.
Sensitivity to the weather increases with age. But you can protect yourself against it.
Exercise in the fresh air
If possible, you should exercise outdoors and go for walks in all weathers. At least three hours of exercise in the fresh air per week is recommended.
Kneipp watering
Every time you shower, rinse your legs with cold water in a circular motion, starting from the feet and working outwards, then inwards.
Stabilise the circulation
A stable circulatory system can cope more easily with rapid changes in the weather. You should therefore train your circulation. In addition to the Kneipp water treatments mentioned above, regular visits to the sauna and the right clothing help: don't dress too warmly, you should feel cool without freezing.
Regular daily routine
This includes a fixed sleep rhythm with regular sleeping times of 7 to 8 hours no later than 11 pm, a short nap at around the same time every day and a vitamin-rich diet. The body should not be heated up before going to bed, i.e. do not take a hot bath immediately beforehand.
