In addition to sweating it out in the gym, there are other ways to boost your metabolism and burn fat in your body faster.
Drink ice water
Water has no calories. In addition, drinking very cold water consumes calories because the body warms it up and absorbs it. After drinking a glass of ice water, the metabolism runs 30% higher for an hour and a half. So drink a glass of ice water several times a day and stimulate your metabolism.
Spicy food
Hot spices such as chilli and hot peppers not only liven up a meal, but also temporarily stimulate the metabolism and therefore calorie burning.
Climbing stairs
By climbing stairs for four minutes a day instead of taking the lift, you can lose up to 5kg in a year. The average person burns around 50 calories in the process; climbing the stairs five times a week burns around 12700 calories or up to 5kg of fat.
Don't get lazy again
Most people quickly put on weight again after a diet because they fall back into their old habits. This doesn't have to be the case: cycling, running or swimming for half an hour four times a week can prevent the drop in metabolism that often occurs during and after a diet.
