The therapist Hans Greissing and his patient Adriana Zille jointly developed a cure for back pain and posture problems known as the Zilgrei method.
The different exercises of this healing method were given bird names to make them easier to distinguish.
One of these exercises is the so-called turtledove exercise, which helps against back problems.
For the turtle dove exercise, stand upright and straight and stretch both arms upwards. Take a deep breath and hold it for about 5 seconds.
Then exhale slowly, taking one arm forward and the other back. While the arms are in this position, breathe in and out four times within 5 seconds.
Then the arms are stretched upwards again and the exercise begins again.
You can repeat the turtle dove exercise several times a day to permanently eliminate posture problems and back pain.
