What helps against sleepwalking

 

Sleepwalking is a sleep disorder. Children between the ages of 3 and 14 in particular sleepwalk. The sleeper falls into the REM phase without the movement centre in the brain being switched off. The brain sends signals to the body through stimulation caused in the dream and the sleeper moves out of bed.

If you suffer from sleepwalking, you should not watch exciting films or read stimulating stories before going to bed at night.

 

Scented lamps with lemon balm oil or sandalwood oil can be left burning in the bedroom, but they must be supervised by an adult to ensure that they do not burn out.

 

Before going to bed, take a warm bath with lime blossom.

 

Regular cold calf compresses or cold body washes promote restful sleep.
