Those who swear by Schüßler salts as alternative medicines should not be without the most important salts in their medicine cabinet. There are two main remedies (number 3 and number 7) and two supplements (number 8 and number 2).
These Schüßler salts belong in the medicine cabinet for the most common everyday ailments:
Number 3 (Ferrum Phosphoricum D12). This salt helps with exhaustion, overexertion and the first symptoms of an incipient cold. You can take this salt for several months during particularly stressful times.
Number 7 (Magnesium Phosphoricum D6). Helps against tension headaches, back pain and menstrual cramps. To relieve cramp-like complaints, 10 tablets are dissolved in a glass of hot water and drunk sip by sip.
Number 8 (Natrium Chloratum D6). Schuessler salt number 8 is effective for fluid regulation in cases of both constipation and diarrhoea. It also helps against dry skin and dry eyes. When taken three times a day, it has a preventative effect against herpes, which is caused by very strong sun exposure, for example during winter sports.
Number 2 (Calcium Phosphoricum D6). This salt is also known as bone salt and is given to children for growing pains.
The bone salt has a bone-strengthening and pain-relieving effect. For acute pain, it can be taken together with ibuprofen or paracetamol.
