It is nothing new that fast food is bad for the figure and health. However, it is now also known that people who eat fast food frequently are more prone to depression.
About 20% of people who regularly eat industrially processed food suffer from depression. This is not only due to the food alone, but to the general lifestyle. Those who eat mainly fast food tend to exercise less and usually work long hours in the office. It is also people who live alone who tend to reach for fast food, because people who live with a partner tend to cook or be cooked properly.
Stress and long hours at work often leave little time and motivation to prepare a healthy meal, which is why ready-to-eat fast food seems more convenient. Fast food, on the other hand, only gives energy in the short term, but robs the drive in the long term and thus prevents the necessary physical exercise.
