Young children love music, and music encourages active play and puts them in a good mood. Simple games with music help children develop their musical side.

Freestyle Dancing

Music is a great way for children of all ages to let out energy. Fast, rhythmic music encourages children to express their feelings through dance. In freestyle, children are allowed to move however they want without being directed. There is no right or wrong way to dance, it's all about moving as the mood takes you. Freestyle dancing is a good way to prepare the children in kindergarten for the next game, because they have had the opportunity to let off steam and are now more willing to be led.

Traditional music games

These are games that many parents are sure to remember from their own childhood and which are often overlooked in the age of electronics. Young children still have a lot of fun with the good old ring-row games; Group games like Plumpsack, Bunny in the Pit or A Hat, a Stick, an Umbrella.

Music band

Young children like to make music themselves, preferably with instruments they have found themselves. Anything that makes rhythm and music can be used as an instrument in the band. Empty cans and cardboard boxes are good as drums, pots and pans that are banged together, rolls of kitchen paper or through which you can sing. There are no limits to the imagination. You can show the children a rhythm that they should play together, or they can play along to a song from the loudspeaker.
