A hat, a stick, an umbrella
This is how it is played: The children line up next to each other in a row. They sing the song and march to the rhythm, right foot first. For the word "hat", an imaginary hat is lifted as a greeting, for "umbrella" an imaginary umbrella is held above the head. For "forwards, backwards, sideways", the children stand still and tap their right foot forwards, backwards and to the side. For the word "at", the feet are placed next to each other again and you start from the beginning.

Bunny in the pit
This is how it is played: The children line up in a circle and hold hands. One child sits in the centre as a "bunny". The children sing the song and run around the bunny in a circle. During the last line of the song, the bunny starts to hop and makes bunny ears with its hands. At the end of the second verse, the children let go of each other and the bunny runs out of the circle. The others now have to catch it.

The Plumpsack
This is how it is played: The children sit in a circle on the floor. One child runs along the outside behind the children's backs and holds a handkerchief in their hand. The children sing the song until one of them realises that the handkerchief has been thrown behind their back. Then it jumps up and tries to catch the other child before it has made it round the circle and sat down in the gap. Whoever is not sitting in the gap at the end of the round is the new Plumpsack. Important: The children are not allowed to turn around as long as the Plumpsack is directly behind them.
