Younger people tend to see a child as a brake on their social life at times. They can no longer go out as much and as long as they want because they have to be considerate of the new life they have created. Unconsciously, they often let the child feel this. The older the parents are, the more grateful they usually are for their children. They know that their biological clock is ticking and consider their children a gift.

As a person ages, their emotional stability, psychological strength and financial security grow. This leads to an overall more relaxed attitude towards raising children. Older parents do not make their child the centre of their life, but make it a part of their life. The parents' past life experience is an important lesson for the children. The more the parents have learned about themselves and about society, the better they can prepare their offspring.

However, it is important to remember that late pregnancy brings health risks.
