Tips for the correct use of children's shoes

The shoe must be of good quality. Ask the shoe salesperson for a good brand.

You should not use shoes that have been worn out by other children for your child, not even by a sibling. The shoe adapts to the individual foot shape of the first shoe wearer and can have a negative impact on the development of the next child's foot.

The child should change shoes frequently during the day to avoid moisture build-up in the shoe.

Children's shoes should be light and comfortable to put on and take off.

The shoe should support the foot well and fit snugly without pinching.

The correct shoe size is important to ensure that the foot has freedom of movement within the shoe. There should be 1 to 1.5 cm of space from the tip of the toe to the end of the shoe.

A child's foot grows about one millimetre per month. There are about 6 millimetres between each shoe size, i.e. you should buy one size larger every 6 months or so.
