You can get red, yellow, blue and green food colouring in the supermarket. However, sometimes it would be nice to have a few other shades.
To mix other shades, mix the food colours in the following mixing ratio:
Orange: 1 part red and 1 part yellow food colouring
Purple: 1 part red and 1 part blue food colouring
Black: 1 part of all four colours
Turquoise: 4 parts blue and 1 part green food colouring
Brown: 5 parts red, 6 parts yellow and 3 parts green food colouring
Lime green: 3 parts yellow and 1 part green food colouring
Pistachio green: 1 part yellow and 4 parts green food colouring
Peach: 1 part red and 2 parts yellow food colouring
Salmon: 3 parts red and 2 parts yellow food colouring
