Facial care for mature skin

Over the years, facial skin in particular tends to become increasingly dry and the first wrinkles can form around the eyes and mouth. The right facial care makes even mature skin elastic again and makes it look young and fresh.

Cleansing mature skin
Cleansing creams are suitable for cleansing the skin of dirt from the air and sebum, as they are very moisturising and protect the skin from dryness. Cleansing creams containing glycerine enable the skin to retain moisture better. At the start of your morning facial cleansing routine, we recommend splashing cold water on your face with your hands, as this refreshes and promotes blood circulation.

Facial scrub
An occasional facial scrub removes dead skin cells so that moisture can be better absorbed. Exfoliation should not be carried out more than once a week so as not to stress the skin, and a salicylic acid peel helps to combat pigmentation spots, although this should only be used in winter, as the skin should be protected from sunlight for a few weeks after treatment.

Care for mature skin
Every few months, a top-up treatment with vitamin C helps to regenerate the skin. Always apply a moisturiser after removing the treatment. As a moisturiser for mature skin, creams containing skin-firming ingredients such as retinol and hyaluronic acid are recommended.
