The little grey rabbit named Hazel lived to be 16 years old, setting a new world record for the oldest rabbit in the world. Until then, the record was held by George the rabbit from Boston, who died in 2008. George's age was confirmed by several vets on 13 March 2008, after which he was awarded the world record title in the Guinness Book of Records.
The average life expectancy of a rabbit is between 5 and 8 years. Converted, Hazel lived to be 144 rabbit years old.
