When can a kitten be washed?

Kittens are considered newborns until their eyes are open and they begin to walk. From the age of 4 to 10 weeks, they wean themselves off their mother's milk. During these first few weeks, the mother cat takes care of feeding and grooming the kitten, i.e. she cleans the kittens of superficial dirt and licks their fur. Only if a kitten is not kept sufficiently clean and dirt and faeces accumulate should it be bathed to prevent illness. This must be done very carefully so that the kitten is not rejected by its mother.
