It's the sneaky little fattening foods that are hidden in our diet without us realising it.

Drinks are one of the most underestimated calorie bombs, because people often don't know the calorie content of drinks. Healthy does not automatically mean low in calories.

Drinking plenty of fluids is vital for a healthy person. But some drinks contain more calories than you might think.

Mineral water contains no calories. So if you want to drink a lot without having a guilty conscience, you can drink as much as you like.

Herbal and fruit teas also have no or very few calories, so they hardly count, provided of course that you drink them without sugar.

Cola contains 44 kcal per 100 ml. Many people mistakenly turn to fruit juices as an alternative when they need to watch their figure. In principle, juice is of course preferable to a soft drink because of its nutritional value, but fruit juice is not without its calories. For example, 100 ml of apple juice contains 48 kcal, which is more than cola, while orange juice contains 44 kcal, the same number of calories as cola.
To reduce calories, you can mix the juice half and half with water.

Milk is very healthy and contains a lot of calcium, but also a lot of calories. Whole milk with 3.5 % fat contains 64 kcal per 100 ml. So only drink milk in moderation. This naturally includes all drinks that are drunk with milk, such as cappuccino or latte macchiato. The coffee part has almost no calories, but the milk and sugar all the more.

The most frequently underestimated is red wine, which contains a whopping 78 kcal per 100 ml due to the fructose and alcohol. Incidentally, the same amount of mulled wine contains more than 200 kcal.

Oft ist es nicht die Menge, die man an Nahrung zu sich nimmt, die dick macht.
