Falling asleep in class can not only result in reprimands, but you may also miss out on important information. <br \/>Here are a few tips on what you can do to combat boredom in class.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you enter the classroom, talk to every student you meet, including the teacher if possible. This will refresh your mind and stimulate concentration even before the lesson has started.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sit as far forward as possible, as close to the board as possible. The further back you sit, the more you get lost. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hang on the teacher's every word. Follow his words and take notes. This distracts you from boredom and gives you something to do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don't tell yourself that it's boring. Because then it is.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Volunteer to read certain sections of the text aloud. Read with enthusiasm and energy. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you're allowed to, suck on a sweet. The sugar keeps the brain going. Peppermint is good for keeping the mind alert and focussed. Avoid excessive chewing, however, as this is impolite. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remember that you are the master of your own future.
