Very few dogs run away from home. Dogs often disappear while running free in the woods when they follow a trail in their eagerness. No matter where the dog has gone missing, bring a piece of your clothing that you have worn for at least one day and place it in the place where you last saw the dog. The clothes will have your scent on them. This allows the dog to smell the odour of the person you are with. It also helps to leave one of the dog's toys in this place. Attach a notice so that walkers don't take the items away.<\/p>\n
