This is especially possible in relation to internal organs, whereby the body's self-healing processes are also stimulated.

In the traditions of Far Eastern medicine, such as Chinese medicine or Ayurveda, this knowledge is also part of treatment and diagnostics.

In Europe, the greatest knowledge about this was gathered at the beginning of the 20th century in particular, when doctors were able to try out and document alternative treatment methods, partly by chance.

The human body has around 30 reflex zone systems, although only some of these have been used in the treatment of Western medicine. As the tradition of studying these reflex zones is still very young, only a few of these zones have been scientifically proven. This means that a decisive factor is still missing in Western circles for them to be included in the canon of recognised treatment methods.

Nevertheless, it is recognised that these reflex zones exist and more and more efforts are being made to study and prove their effectiveness so that treatment methods can be extended to them.

Reflex zone therapy on the foot, which is used to harmonise organs and tissues, is still the most widespread method in our part of the world. This effect is not limited to physical well-being, but also includes improved mental well-being and activates the body's self-healing powers.

Numerous alternative practitioners offer this form of therapy and most of them are affiliated to an official association.

Das Wissen um die Reflexionen im Körper eines Menschen hat sich über die Jahre weg erweitert und zu den klassischen Körperteilen haben sich auch Nase, Ohren und Rücken gesellt.
